Arizona, and especially the Phoenix metropolitan area, has its share of wealthy people. In fact, a recent article in The Arizona Republic showed that 1 in 17 Scottsdale residents is a millionaire. Scottsdale, Arizona, offers a luxurious lifestyle with high-end amenities and a favorable tax environment. Its thriving tourism and real estate sectors contribute to its wealth, attracting wealthy individuals and retirees.
The third richest place in Arizona is Rio Verde, a masterfully planned community east of Scottsdale (the latter being the eleventh richest city in Arizona). Scottsdale is extremely popular with Arizona residents, which can be seen in its colossal population of approximately 250,000 people. During my trip, I strolled the bustling streets of South Scottsdale and explored the city's wealthiest areas in North Scottsdale and the nearby Paradise Valley, where sprawling estates dot the mountainous desert landscape.
