Wealthy Americans are buying homes in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. These areas offer natural landscapes, luxurious lifestyles, and lower taxes, attracting the wealthy. I thought Scottsdale felt more livable and that Jackson Hole was a better vacation spot. Larger lots, bigger houses and lower taxes aren't the only reasons rich people are abandoning their lifestyles in big cities by Scottsdale.
Technology workers, entrepreneurs and retirees are also moving to the area in search of business opportunities, pristine golf courses, warm weather and inspiring landscapes. During my trip, I strolled the bustling streets of South Scottsdale and explored the city's wealthiest areas in North Scottsdale and the nearby Paradise Valley, where sprawling estates dot the mountainous desert landscape. In fact, a recent article in The Arizona Republic showed that 1 in 17 Scottsdale residents is a millionaire.
